A Kingston man, David A. Naccarato, age 31, has been arrested following an incident where he allegedly struck an outdoor dining area at Rough Draft Bar and Books. The incident occurred on April 24, around 4:45 a.m., when Naccarato reportedly drove his 2013 Chevy pickup truck into the "parklet" in front of the establishment and then left the scene without reporting the accident.

According to Hudson Valley One, Naccarato was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor for recklessly damaging property, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident without reporting it, which is a violation. Kingston Police managed to locate the vehicle involved after conducting an investigation, during which Naccarato admitted to causing the damage.

The police have not disclosed whether the crash was accidental or intentional. No injuries were reported from the incident. Naccarato was processed and released, and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 13.

The Daily Freeman reported that the incident has highlighted the challenges of avoiding detection in a city like Kingston, where surveillance cameras are widespread. The case underscores the importance of accountability and the role of law enforcement in maintaining public safety.
