Mayor Steve Noble announced that the city is expected to receive $712,928 in CDBG funding, which will be allocated across various categories.
The draft of the 2025 Annual Action Plan outlines the proposed use of these funds for the upcoming program year, from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. According to the city's official announcement, the funds will be distributed as follows: $142,585.60 for Planning & Administration, $103,200 for Public Services, and $467,142.40 for Public Facilities/Infrastructure.
Residents are encouraged to attend the hearing, which will be held in Conference Room #1 at City Hall, to share their thoughts on the allocation of funds. The plan is available for public review online and at the City of Kingston Office of Community Development. Comments can be submitted in writing to Amanda L.
