The Columbia-Greene Humane Society and SPCA (CGHS/SPCA) has announced the date for its upcoming pet food drive, which will take place on Saturday, June 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held at the Hudson Walmart located on Fairview Avenue. This initiative aims to support families struggling to feed their pets due to financial hardships.

The pet food bank, a free service provided by CGHS/SPCA, distributes approximately 50,000 pounds of food annually to those in need. The food bank is located at the shelter on 111 Humane Society Road in Claverack and operates daily from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CGHS/SPCA encourages donations to help maintain this vital service, ensuring no pet goes hungry. For more information, individuals can contact the humane society at (518) 828-6044.
