A Texas woman, Christina C. Miranda, age 24, is facing charges after allegedly using her child to smuggle marijuana into Greenhaven Correctional Facility in Beekman. According to the New York State Police, Miranda concealed approximately 63 grams of marijuana on her child's back to transport it into the facility on May 24.
Authorities arrested Miranda and charged her with promoting prison contraband and endangering the welfare of a child, both classified as Class A misdemeanors. She was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Beekman Court on June 12 at 6:00 p.m.
