A traffic stop on the New York State Thruway led to the arrest of Peter Fabregas, a 35-year-old man from Yonkers, after authorities discovered 322 grams of cocaine in his vehicle. The incident occurred on June 2 near Exit 19 in the town of Ulster. Fabregas was driving a 2010 Infiniti when he was pulled over for vehicle and traffic violations.

During the stop, a K9 unit named Scotty alerted officers to the presence of illegal substances in the car. A subsequent search confirmed the presence of cocaine, leading to Fabregas's arrest. He faces multiple felony charges, including first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A-I felony, as well as third- and fourth-degree possession charges, which are Class B and Class C felonies, respectively.

Fabregas was arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court on June 3 and was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail. The investigation remains ongoing, as reported by Mid Hudson News and NEWS10 ABC. The New York State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the possession and potential distribution of the drugs.
