Lloyd Police Highlight Arrests in June

The Town of Lloyd Police Department is highlighting recent arrests made this month, showcasing their efforts to maintain safety in the community. Among those arrested is Kevin Green, a 40-year-old resident of Highland, who was taken into custody on Monday (June 16). Green faces charges of criminal possession of a firearm and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. He has a history of 18 prior arrests and five felony convictions and is currently on parole for similar weapons charges. Green was remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 24, according to Hudson Valley One.

In another case, Rickey E. McVay, a 44-year-old from Poughkeepsie, was arrested on June 10 on a bench warrant for petit larceny. McVay, who has 20 prior arrests, was arraigned and remanded to Ulster County Jail on a $5,000 cash bail. He was due back in court on June 12. Newport Dispatch reported that Lloyd Police were assisted by New York State Parole and the Office of Special Investigations in these investigations.

Other arrests include Joseph A. Striano, 40, of Highland, charged with seven counts of second-degree criminal contempt, and Zachary A. Angelone, 22, of Highland, charged with third-degree criminal mischief. These arrests reflect the ongoing efforts by the Lloyd Police to address crime and ensure community safety.
