The Columbia County Health Department will host an immunization clinic on Tuesday (June 24) in Hudson. The clinic will run from 1 PM to 4 PM at the health department office on Columbia Street. Both children and adults can receive vaccines to protect against illnesses like COVID-19 and the flu.
Appointments are required and can be made by contacting the health department directly at (518)-828-3358. The department emphasizes that vaccination is a safer and more reliable way to build protection against COVID-19 than contracting the virus itself. According to the Columbia County Department of Health, staying up to date with vaccinations is the best strategy for avoiding serious illness, hospitalization, and long-term health effects.
The health department encourages residents to check with local pharmacies for additional vaccine appointments. Information on pharmacy vaccine clinics is available through the department's website. The Columbia County Department of Health remains committed to providing COVID-19 vaccines to all residents and workers in the county.
