A drug raid at a Poughkeepsie housing complex resulted in the arrest of Felicia Griffin, 44, on Thursday (June 19). The raid, conducted by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force, uncovered packages of cocaine, digital scales, and packaging materials at Griffin's home. Authorities had previously used undercover agents to purchase drugs from Griffin, leading to the operation.
The raid is part of a broader effort to combat drug trafficking in the Hudson Valley. According to a report by News 12, the task force's actions are aligned with ongoing investigations into narcotics trafficking networks in the region.
The arrest of Griffin comes amid a larger crackdown on drug trafficking in New York. New York Attorney General Letitia James recently announced the indictment of seven individuals involved in a narcotics network that distributed cocaine and counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl across several counties, including Dutchess. The investigation, led by the Organized Crime Task Force and New York State Police, resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of drugs and firearms.
Griffin faces charges related to drug possession and distribution. The ongoing efforts by law enforcement aim to dismantle drug networks and reduce the impact of narcotics on local communities.
