Kingston is set to host its annual Movies Under the Stars series, offering residents a chance to enjoy films outdoors at no cost. The series kicks off on Saturday, July 12, with a screening of the comedy classic "The Blues Brothers" at Academy Green Park at 8 p.m. This popular event is organized by the city's Parks and Recreation Department.

Following "The Blues Brothers," the series will continue with a variety of films, including the documentary "Summer of Soul" on Saturday, July 26, at TR Gallo Park, and the family-friendly "Sonic the Hedgehog Three" on Saturday, August 9, at 7:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic items and lawn chairs to enhance their movie-watching experience.

According to the Daily Freeman, the series is part of Kingston's efforts to provide free entertainment and community engagement opportunities during the summer months. Mayor Steven T. Noble and the city’s Parks and Recreation Department are excited to welcome residents and visitors to these events.
