The Columbia County Health Department is hosting an immunization clinic on Tuesday (July 8) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their office on Columbia Street in Hudson. The clinic will offer vaccines for both children and adults, providing protection against illnesses such as COVID-19 and the flu.

Appointments are required and can be made by contacting the health department directly at (518) 828-3358. According to the Columbia County Department of Health, these clinics are part of their ongoing efforts to ensure community health and safety.

The department emphasizes that getting vaccinated is a safer way to build protection against COVID-19 than contracting the virus itself. Vaccines are effective in preventing severe illness, hospitalizations, and death. Residents are encouraged to stay up to date with their vaccinations for optimal protection.

For those unable to attend the clinic, local pharmacies also offer vaccine appointments. Information about these can be found on the health department's website or by contacting pharmacies directly.
