Hudson Man Arrested for Sexual Abuse of Child

A 26-year-old man from Hudson named Jared M. Busta, has been arrested following allegations of sexual abuse involving a child under the age of 13. The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) in Livingston began their investigation on Sunday (July 6) after receiving a report about the alleged incident. Busta has been charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class D felony.

Following his arrest, Busta was arraigned in Greenport Town Court and subsequently remanded to the Columbia County Jail. He is being held in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, a $10,000 secured bond, or a $20,000 partially secured bond. Busta appeared in court on Monday (July 7) at 3:00 PM.

The investigation into the matter is still ongoing, and authorities are continuing to gather more information. The New York State Police have not released further details about the case at this time.
