Police in Saugerties have arrested a man from Monroe County on gun-related charges after he allegedly fired a gun outside the Big Belly Deli and then handed it to the clerk. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Sunday (July 6). Officers identified the suspect as David Tallman Jr. and charged him with several felonies, including criminal possession of a weapon and falsifying a business record, as well as misdemeanors for criminal impersonation and reckless endangerment.
Tallman was transported to Kingston for arraignment. The police have not disclosed any injuries related to the incident. According to Mid Hudson News, the authorities are continuing their investigation into the events surrounding the incident.
