The Columbia County Health Department is offering an immunization clinic today (Tuesday, July 22) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at its office located on Columbia Street in Hudson. The clinic provides vaccines for both children and adults, including protection against COVID-19 and the flu.

Appointments are required and can be made by contacting the health department directly at (518) 828-3358. These clinics are part of the department's ongoing efforts to promote community health and safety. According to the Columbia County Department of Health, getting vaccinated is a safer way to build protection against COVID-19 than contracting the virus itself. Vaccines are effective in preventing severe illness, hospitalizations, and death.

For those unable to attend today's clinic, local pharmacies also offer vaccine appointments. Information about these can be found on the health department's website or by contacting pharmacies directly. The health department emphasizes the importance of staying up to date with vaccinations for optimal protection.
