The Columbia-Greene Humane Society (CGHS) in Hudson is hosting two free adoption days on August 2 and 30. During these days, adoption fees for all animals will be waived, thanks to support from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Each animal available for adoption will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
Despite the waived fees, the standard adoption screening process will still be in place to ensure that the animals find suitable homes. The humane society emphasizes that these free adoption days are life-changing opportunities for pets to find their forever homes.
To view the animals available for adoption, prospective pet owners can visit the Columbia-Greene Humane Society website. For more information, individuals can contact the humane society at (518) 828-6044.
The CGHS is committed to the humane treatment and well-being of all animals, and it does not euthanize animals due to space constraints. The organization relies on community support and donations, as it does not receive federal, state, or county funding.
