Four Arrested in Highland Robbery; Children Found in Car

Four individuals have been arrested following a robbery at a liquor store in Highland on Wednesday night (July 30). The suspects, identified as Selena Fonda Bressendorff, 24, Jahnya Bressendorff, 22, Jennifer A. Robertson, 20, and an 18-year-old juvenile, were apprehended after a traffic stop by New York State Troopers. The troopers stopped a white Nissan Murano matching the description of the getaway vehicle on Route 44/55, finding the four suspects and two children inside.

According to the New York State Police, during the stop, Selena Fonda Bressendorff allegedly assaulted a trooper. The group had reportedly engaged in a physical altercation with a store employee before fleeing with stolen items. All four suspects face multiple charges, including second-degree robbery, fourth-degree conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child, petit larceny, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Additionally, Selena Fonda Bressendorff faces charges of second-degree assault and obstructing governmental administration.

Jennifer A. Robertson received an additional charge of tampering with physical evidence. The children found in the vehicle were released to a third party. The suspects were arraigned in Ulster County Jail Centralized Arraignment Part Court and are being held pending further court proceedings. The investigation remains ongoing, with assistance from Marlborough and Lloyd town police.
