Congressman Pat Ryan's Constituent Advocacy Resources Empowerment Services (C.A.R.E.S.) Van is set to visit several locations across the Hudson Valley in September. The mobile office will provide assistance with federal agencies to local residents. Stops include the Tilson Free Library and Milan Town Hall on September 16, Clinton Town Hall in Rhinebeck on September 17, and the Russell Brott Senior Center in Lake Katrine on September 23. Additional visits will occur at various locations, including Dietz Stadium in Kingston on September 6 and the Woodstock Public Library on September 23.

The C.A.R.E.S. Van, staffed by Congressman Ryan's team of caseworkers, offers help with a range of federal programs and benefits, such as Social Security, Veterans Affairs, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal student loans. Congressman Ryan, representing New York's 18th Congressional District, which includes parts of Ulster and Dutchess counties and all of Orange County, aims to bring direct assistance to constituents in their communities.

According to the Daily Freeman, the van has become a staple at community events since June 2023, helping residents navigate federal programs and access benefits.

The initiative comes in response to what Congressman Ryan describes as "relentless attacks" on Hudson Valley families' livelihoods by the Trump Administration and House GOP. Ryan's team has already helped secure over $40 million in casework assistance for constituents in NY-18.

Ryan emphasized the importance of providing direct relief and support to families affected by recent federal cuts and closures.
