The 34th annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival begins today (August 29) at Tymor Park in Lagrangeville. The event will run through Sunday, offering a variety of activities for attendees. The festival features hot-air balloon rides, evening fireworks, live music, food trucks, and an obstacle course, making it a fun event for the whole family.
Tickets for the festival must be purchased in advance online, as they will not be available at the gate. Prices vary, with evening admissions costing $26.95 per person and morning admissions at $13.95 per person. An all-weekend access pass is available for $39.95. Children under three are admitted for free. Special discounts are available for Union Vale residents, who must purchase their tickets at Town Hall before the festival.
The festival schedule includes morning balloon launches at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and afternoon launches at 5:30 p.m. from Friday to Sunday. In addition to balloon rides, the festival will feature morning yoga sessions, a beer and wine tent, and various family activities. Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs to enjoy the festivities from designated picnic areas.
