An investigation is underway in Middletown, New York, following a shooting at the Six West Barbershop on West Main Street. On Wednesday (September 3), a masked gunman entered the barbershop and opened fire, targeting a 17-year-old boy identified as Nasir Andrades. The victim was struck three times in the back and is currently in stable condition at Garnet Health Medical Center.
According to Mid-Hudson News, the suspect, who wore a camouflage balaclava-style mask, fled the scene on a black electric scooter. The police believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute between two teenagers and that Andrades was the intended target, as no one else in the barbershop was harmed.
Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect, who remains at large. They urge anyone with information or surveillance footage to contact the Middletown City Police Detective Division at 845-343-3152. All tips will be kept confidential.
