Ulster County District Attorney Emmanuel Nneji is consolidating his team into a single office space in Kingston. This move aims to enhance collaboration among the nearly 70 employees, including prosecutors, investigators, and victim advocates. Previously, staff were spread across six different locations. The new 17,000-square-foot office will allow for improved communication and efficiency, according to Mid-Hudson News.

The decision to relocate was made after the Ulster County Legislature approved funding for the new building in November 2024. Nneji emphasized that having all staff under one roof will facilitate better training and strategy sharing, particularly benefiting younger prosecutors. "This space makes justice more productive for everyone," Nneji stated.

The DA's office handles a broad range of cases, from violent felonies to white-collar crimes. Nneji, who has served as an assistant DA since the 1990s and began his first term as district attorney in 2024, is committed to ensuring community safety. He stated, "Our job is justice — justice for the defendant, justice for the victim, and justice for the community."

The move is expected to be completed soon, with the goal of making Ulster County safer and more efficient in its judicial processes.
