Middletown City Police have arrested three individuals in connection with a shooting incident that occurred early on Sunday, August 3. The suspects, Woodley Jean, 37, Garry Jean, 38, and Keith Moore, 40, all residents of Middletown, face charges of criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. The incident took place near 126 East Main Street.
Following the arrests, the police executed two search warrants, which led to the recovery of two illegally possessed firearms. The first warrant was executed at Keith Moore's residence on North Street on Monday, August 11. A no-knock search warrant was later carried out on Friday, August 22, at 265 Ruth Court, resulting in the arrest of Woodley Jean and Garry Jean. During this operation, the two firearms were discovered in a vehicle registered to Garry Jean.
The investigation involved collaboration with the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center, the Orange County Sheriff's Special Operations Group, and State Police. Troopers initially reported the shooting incident to Middletown Police and assisted in the search and recovery of evidence.
The three suspects have been arraigned and are awaiting future court appearances. The arrests and subsequent investigation highlight the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to address gun-related crimes in the area. The case is expected to proceed through the legal system, with further court dates anticipated.
