Pilot Identified in Ulster County Plane Crash

A tragic plane accident occurred on Saturday (September 27) at Kobelt Airport in Walkill, New York, claiming the life of 80-year-old Gerald Cotter from New Jersey. Cotter was piloting the small aircraft when it crashed, sparking a brush fire. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. A preliminary report is expected to be released in the coming months. The accident has brought attention to the safety protocols at privately owned airports like Kobelt Airport.
