The Columbia County Department of Health has announced a flu vaccination clinic scheduled for Thursday, October 23, at the AB Shaw Fire House in Claverack. The clinic will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is open to residents aged six months and older.

Pre-registration is required for the clinic and can be completed online. The Department of Health advises residents to register by visiting their official website and following the provided link or QR code. Most insurance plans are accepted, and individuals who are uninsured or underinsured may qualify for a reduced fee or no cost for the vaccine. The standard flu vaccine is priced at $58, while the high-dose vaccine for seniors costs $107. Payment options include cash, card, or check.

For those needing assistance with registration or lacking internet access, the Department of Health can be reached at 518-828-3358, ext. 1256. Staff members will return calls to help complete the registration process.

The flu clinic is one of three scheduled by the county for the 2025-2026 flu season, as the Department of Health awaits further guidance on COVID-19 vaccinations.
