A Columbia County man, Joseph Murell, has been arrested after allegedly firing a BB gun towards a home in Clermont. The incident occurred on Tuesday night (October 14) when State Police responded to reports of shots fired on County Route Six. Upon investigation, authorities determined that 21-year-old Murell had discharged multiple rounds at the house. There is no known connection between Murell and the residents of the home, who were present during the incident.
Murell now faces a felony charge for his actions. He is scheduled to appear in court again on November 20. The authorities have not disclosed any further details regarding the motive behind the incident or the specific charges Murell faces.
