Carly Bulgia, the 29-year-old Chief of Staff for Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino, has resigned from her position. Bulgia, who started her career as an intern for Serino nearly nine years ago, stepped down this week. She expressed gratitude for her time in the role, saying, "It’s been an honor to work with County Executive Sue Serino and serve the people of Dutchess County."
Before Bulgia, Rachel Kashimer held the position of Chief of Staff and later became the Deputy County Executive. Kashimer left her role in August due to an ethics investigation and is expected to be named Commissioner of Human Resources once the current commissioner, Steven Rector, is reassigned.
County Executive Sue Serino praised Bulgia's service, telling Mid Hudson News, "Carly has been a valued advisor to me for many years, and I am grateful for her dedicated service and many contributions." Bulgia is exploring new opportunities that align with her professional and personal goals.
