The Columbia-Greene Humane Society in Hudson is launching a Free Pet Adoption Week starting tomorrow (October 18) and running through October 25. During this week, all adoption fees for cats, dogs, and small animals will be waived, providing an excellent opportunity for potential pet owners to find their new furry friends without financial barriers.
The humane society encourages interested adopters to submit their applications in advance, as same-day approvals are not guaranteed. This process ensures a smoother experience for both the adopters and the organization. For more information on available pets, individuals can visit the Columbia-Greene Humane Society website.
As part of the Subaru Loves Pets Initiative, the Columbia-Greene Humane Society will also be present at the RC Lacy Ford Subaru on Maple Avenue in Catskill on Friday from noon to 3 p.m. Representatives will be available to answer questions about the adoption process, accept donations, and showcase some of the adoptable dogs. This initiative, supported by Subaru, aims to help shelter pets find loving homes through events and grants administered by the ASPCA.
The Free Adoption Week is made possible by the collaboration between Subaru and local animal welfare organizations, highlighting the importance of community efforts in improving the lives of shelter animals. For more details, potential adopters can call (518) 828-6044.
