A drug investigation in Kingston led to the arrest of a man and the discovery of another man with a gunshot wound. On Tuesday (October 21), Kingston police, along with the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, State Police, and Ulster County District Attorney's Office, executed a search warrant at a residence on Emerson Street. During the operation, they found a man who had been shot. Emergency services from the Kingston Fire Department provided medical aid before transferring him to HealthAlliance Hospital. He was later moved to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie for further treatment, where he remains.
The investigation targeted Albert Miller, 23, of Kingston, who was arrested without incident. He faces charges of criminal sale and possession of controlled substances and is being held at Ulster County Jail on $20,000 bail. The police have not released further details about the shooting victim but anticipate providing more information soon.
