The beloved Saugerties Holiday in the Village celebration is making its return this Sunday (December 7). The event, organized by the Saugerties Chamber of Commerce and local merchants, will run from noon until 6 p.m. and promises a day full of festive activities for the whole family.

Children can meet Santa and his elves at the Kiersted House's Dutch Barn from noon until 3 p.m. There will also be free horse and wagon rides, a popular attraction for attendees. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Saugerties High School band is set to perform, providing live music throughout the day.

Visitors can also explore the local shops, which will be open and offering special deals. For those looking to start their day with a hearty meal, breakfast will be available at the American Legion. The event will feature multiple opportunities to visit Santa, and three toy raffles courtesy of the Sawyer Motors team will take place at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m.

The day will conclude with a reading of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" and the lighting of Seamon Park, creating a magical end to the festivities. For more information, visit Discover Saugerties.
