Road Rage Shooting Investigation Continues in Wawayanda

An investigation is ongoing into a road rage shooting that occurred on Thursday (December 11) in Wawayanda. According to the New York State Police, the incident took place around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of McVeigh Road and Dolsontown Road, just outside the City of Middletown.

The victim, who was conscious and alert, was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center for treatment. However, the extent of their injuries remains unknown. Troopers have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The New York State Police Troop F, along with the City of Middletown Police and the Town of Wallkill Police Department, are actively investigating the incident. Roads in the area were temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. The investigation is still in its early stages, and no further details have been released at this time.
