State Police have released new details regarding a tragic double-murder suicide that occurred in Catskill. On Friday (December 12), authorities responded to a call from 22-year-old Connor Provo, who reported to Greene County 911 that he had killed his friends. When officers arrived at the scene on Forest View Drive, they found Provo deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound inside a trailer.

As the investigation continued, officers discovered the bodies of 34-year-old Clifford Beauchard and 19-year-old Justin Acevedo, both of Catskill, inside a double-wide building on the property. Autopsies revealed that all three men died from gunshot wounds to the head. It is believed that Provo shot Beauchard and Acevedo before taking his own life.

The property where the incident occurred housed a dog training facility where all three men worked. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the New York State Police Catskill Barracks at (845) 344-5300.

The incident has shaken the small town of Catskill, which is home to approximately 11,000 residents along the Hudson River in the Hudson Valley. The community is grappling with the loss and the tragic circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Anyone who needs to talk can call 800-273-8255 no matter the time of day.
