Newburgh, New York, celebrated the arrival of its first baby of 2026 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall. Baby Elora Burks was born at 12:07 a.m. on Thursday (January 1) at the Kaplan Family Birthing Center. She weighed six pounds, 5.4 ounces, and measured 19 ½ inches long. Both Elora and her mother are doing well, thanks to the dedicated team at the birthing center.
