A second arrest has been made in connection with the fire that damaged a Catskill Mountain Railroad locomotive near Kingston Plaza. James Adelman, 29, was taken into custody by Kingston police on Sunday (January 11) and charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor arson. The arrest follows the earlier apprehension of 25-year-old John Dwyer, who was also charged with setting fire to the cabin of Locomotive No. 400 on New Year's Day.

According to authorities, Adelman was arrested on Albany Avenue and released with tickets for Kingston City Court. The police did not provide further details on whether additional arrests are expected in this case. No injuries were reported from the incident.

The Catskill Mountain Railroad initially suggested that footprints in the snow might belong to the arsonists, but later clarified in a Facebook post that these tracks were made by the Kingston Fire Department. Adelman is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
