Greg and Mark Jaloszynski are set to develop a large-scale community center in the Town of Wallkill. The facility, known as 12th Rock, will be located on Mount Hope Road and is designed to host a variety of events, including indoor and outdoor sports, concerts, and community gatherings. The 156,000-square-foot center will feature an indoor track, basketball courts, locker rooms, and a café, accommodating up to 3,600 people.
According to Mid Hudson News, the project is estimated to cost between $25 million and $28 million. Greg Jaloszynski emphasized that the center is intended to be more than just a sports complex, offering diverse uses throughout the year. The brothers have secured all necessary approvals for construction.
The development is expected to boost the local economy by attracting hotels, restaurants, and possibly a luxury conference center, as noted by Orange County Economic Development Director Steven Gross. The name "12th Rock" is a biblical reference, reflecting Greg Jaloszynski's role as a pastor at Echo Grace Church in Port Jervis.
