Ulster County Area Transit will launch a new Sunday bus service in the City of Kingston starting Sunday (March 1). The new 2S: Kingston Local Sunday Service will connect key neighborhoods and destinations, including Stony Run, Kingston Plaza, the Broadway corridor in Midtown, the Rondout, and Kingston Point.

Buses will begin running at 8 a.m. from Stony Run, with five trips scheduled throughout the day. The final stop at Kingston Point Beach is set for 5:45 p.m.

Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger said the new service "will give residents and visitors more opportunities to shop and get around on public transit," as reported by Mid Hudson News.

The Sunday service aims to improve public transit access for both residents and visitors. Additional details about the route and schedules can be found on the UCAT website. The launch reflects ongoing efforts to expand transportation options in the Hudson Valley.
