Rep. Pat Ryan continues to voice strong criticism against President Donald Trump's decision to launch military strikes in Iran, expressing concern over the lack of a clear strategy. The New York Congressman, who served as an Army intelligence officer during the Iraq War, has been vocal about his opposition to the operation, which has resulted in the deaths of three American service members.

In an interview with CNN, Ryan stated that President Trump has not adequately communicated his plans to the American people, calling the lack of transparency "pathetic." He emphasized the need for a clear strategy and criticized the decision to bypass congressional approval for the military action. Ryan argued, "This decision was wrong on every level," and highlighted the importance of the War Powers Act, which aims to ensure that military actions are approved by Congress.

Ryan's criticism comes amid ongoing tensions following the U.S. and Israeli attacks that led to the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran has since retaliated with strikes against U.S. bases in the region. According to The Hill, Ryan expressed his frustration with the situation, stating, "We should not be sending another generation of young men and women into open-ended regime change wars without a clear strategy."

The congressman also took to social media to criticize war supporters, including Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin. In a post, Ryan questioned Mullin's understanding of war, referencing his own 27 months of combat experience in Iraq.

As the conflict continues, Congress is considering a war powers resolution to limit President Trump's ability to order further military action without approval from the House and Senate. Ryan remains committed to ensuring that military decisions are made transparently and with the support of the American people.
