Mohonk Preserve is expanding its free membership program to include residents from four additional counties. Previously available only to Ulster County residents, the program will now extend to Dutchess, Orange, Columbia, and Greene counties. Known as the Healthy Hudson Valley Pass Program, this initiative aims to encourage outdoor activities by providing free six-week memberships.

Residents can register online from March 16 through 22 to receive a digital membership pass, granting immediate access to the preserve. This expansion follows the success of the Healthy Ulster Pass Program, which has distributed over 56,000 free passes to Ulster County residents over its 15-year history.

The preserve, located in New Paltz, offers a variety of outdoor activities for visitors. With this expansion, Mohonk Preserve hopes to promote a healthier lifestyle by making nature more accessible to a broader audience.
