Red Cross Assists Two After Beacon Fire

Two people received emergency assistance from the Red Cross following a fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon on Rombout Avenue in the City of Beacon.

According to Mid Hudson News, the organization provided financial assistance to help the displaced adults cover immediate necessities such as shelter, food, and clothing. One of the individuals affected by the fire is eligible for veterans' services, the Red Cross confirmed.

The fire occurred on Rombout Avenue in Beacon. Emergency responders arrived at the scene Tuesday afternoon to address the blaze.

The extent of the damage caused by the fire and the cause of the incident have not yet been determined. Local fire officials have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the fire or whether an investigation is underway.

The Red Cross routinely assists individuals and families displaced by home fires and other disasters throughout the Hudson Valley. The organization provides immediate emergency aid including temporary housing, food, clothing, and other essential items to those affected by emergencies.
