A Kingston man has been arrested and charged with selling narcotics after a months-long investigation by local and federal authorities. According to Mid Hudson News, Sanford Parker, age 68, was taken into custody in the City of Kingston on Wednesday (March 12) by the U.S. Marshals Service.

The arrest followed an investigation that began in August 2024, conducted by the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT), Homeland Security Investigations, and the New York State Police. In December 2025, a grand jury indicted Parker on two counts each of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Parker is currently being held at the Ulster County Jail, where he awaits arraignment, as reported by Mid Hudson News. No details about the specific substances or amounts involved were released.

The investigation included coordination between multiple agencies and spanned several months, reflecting ongoing efforts to address narcotics-related crime in the Kingston area. Authorities have not yet announced a court date for Parker’s arraignment. The case remains open as law enforcement continues its crackdown on illegal drug activity in Ulster County.
