The Mets bounced back after a tough loss a night ago and defeated the Braves 6-2. Matt Harvey got the win in his first start back after Thoracic Outlet Surgery. He went six and two-thirds innings striking out four while allowing just two runs on three hits.
After struggling in the first two games, the Mets bats came to life as they scored six runs on eight hits tonight. Wilmer Flores hit his first home run of the season and Travis d'Arnaud drove in a pair with a 2-run double.
The Braves tried to mount a rally in the top of the eighth, but Fernando Salas was able to strike out Dansby Swanson to end the inning. The Mets take their first series of the season and will see Zack Wheeler make his return on Friday night as they welcome the Miami Marlins for a weekend series.
