Mets Drop Second Straight to Miami 8-1 at Citi Field

The Mets fell to the Marlins 8-1 tonight at Citi Field. Robert Gsellman made his first start of the season and lasted just five innings allowing three runs on six hits despite striking out six.

The Mets bullpen struggled to keep this game close as Hansel Robles, Paul Sewald, and Rafael Montero combing to surrender five runs in an inning and two thirds.

Lucas Duda provide the Mets only offense with a solo home run as the rest of the lineup mustered up a dreary three hits and only one off Marlins starter Adam Conley. The Mets will send Noah Syndergaard to the hill on Sunday Night Baseball which kicks off at 7:05 pm on WOR with Pete McCarthy and 'Mets on Deck'.
