J.T. Realmuto Walks-off Mets in Ninth; Syndergaard Leaves With Nail Issue

After winning a 16-inning thriller early Friday morning, the Mets ended Good Friday on a sour note as the Marlins defeated the Mets 3-2 with a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Noah Syndergaard got a no-decision as he lasted just six innings before leaving with a torn fingernail issue. He struck out just four while allowing 1 unearned run on six hit. The Mets led this game 2-1 after Lucas Duda roped his fourth home run of the season before Dee Gordon tied it with an RBI single and J.T. Realmuto won it in the bottom of the ninth with his walk-off single off Josh Edgin.

The Mets will send Jacob deGrom to the hill on Saturday night as the look to take a 2-1 advantage in the series. Coverage on WOR begins at 6:05 pm with Pete McCarthy & 'Mets on Deck'.
