After losing ten of eleven and six in a row the Mets have bounced back and won two games in a row against their division rival Washington Nationals. Michael Conforto hit two home runs and drove in three runs and Jose Reyes hit his second home run of the season to provide some insurance as the Mets won 5-3.
Zack Wheeler battled through four and two thirds allowing just one run on five hits while striking out four. The bullpen wasn't perfect, but Hansel Robles picked up his fourth win of the season tossing an inning and two thirds of scoreless baseball. Addison Reed let up a solo home run to Ryan Zimmerman, but Jeruys Familia picked up his first save of the 2017 season with a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth.
