LISTEN: Mets Win Their 1st Game at Atlanta's SunTrust Park 7-5

On the same day the Mets placed Noah Syndergaard on the DL, they won their first ever game at Atlanta's new SunTrust Park defeating the Braves 7-5.

Michael Conforto got the Mets off to a fast start as he led off the game with a home run. The Braves would answer as Ender Inciarte homered in the Braves 1st AB to tie the game at 1. In the top of the fourth the Mets would explode for five runs capped off by a 2-run single from who else? Michael Conforto. Jose Reyes would add an insurance run to make it a 7-5 Mets win.

Robert Gsellman was able to bend but not break as he tossed five innings allowing five runs on six hits, he picked up his first win of the season. The Mets bullpen was terrific tonight as Josh Edgin, Hansel Robles, Jerry Blevins, Addison Reed, and Jeurys Familia would combine for four shutout innings while striking out five and allowing just three hits.

The Mets have won three of their last four and will look to protect a perfect record at SunTrust Park on Tuesday night with Matt Harvey taking on former Met R.A. Dickey. Coverage on WOR begins at 6:05 pm with Pete McCarthy & 'Mets on Deck'.
