Before this afternoon's Mets game, Mets GM Sandy Alderson announced that Matt Harvey was suspended for three games without pay for violating team rules. Terry Collins joined WOR's Wayne Randazzo to share his thoughts on the suspension.
With Harvey suspended, Adam Wilk was called up from AAA Las Vegas and it did not go well. Wilk served up two blasts to Giancarlo Statanto and one to Adeiny Hechavarria and the Mets dug themselves into a deep hole. In the end Wilk lasted just three and two thirds allowing five earned runs on eight hits. The Mets managed just one hit in the shutout loss. They welcome the Giants to Citi Field on Monday evening. Coverage on WOR begins at 6:05 pm with Pete McCarthy and 'Mets on Deck'.
Mets reliever Paul Sewald joined Wayne Randazzo in the leadoff spot this afternoon on the 'Mets Pregame Show'.
