"We're Sending Them the Hell Back" Trump Says of Illegal Immigrants

Trump holds MAGA rally amid immigration uproar

Just hours after signing an executive order that would end his administration's practice of separating immigrant children from their parents, President Donald Trump doubled down on his immigration rhetoric at a campaign rally in Minnesota.

"They're not sending their finest. We're sending them the hell back! That's what we’re doing," Trump told the crowd. "And, by the way, today I signed an executive order. We will keep families together, but the border is going to be just as tough as it has been."

Trump's appearance at the campaign rally was meant to support retired police officer and county board member Pete Stauber, a Republican candidate for Congress who is running in the 8th District in Minnesota.

During the rally, the president went on to falsely blame the Democrats for his administration's actions.

"So the Democrats want open borders, 'Let everybody come in, let them come in from the Middle East, let them come in from all over the place,'" Trump said. "We don't care. We are not going to let it happen."

At one point, protesters booed Trump and were quickly escorted out of the arena while Trump mocked one of them, "Goodbye darling. Go home to mommy."

Trump also used the opportunity to lay into his fellow Republican, Arizona Senator John McCain for his failure to join the party's efforts to repeal Obamacare last year.

"We had a gentleman late into the morning hours, that was not a good thing he did for our people or our country, whether Democrat or Republican. Everyone said it, we have his vote, we have everyone's vote. We were going in for a routine repeal and replace, and he went thumbs down. Not nice," said Trump.

McCain has been battling brain cancer and has not been able to travel to the nation's capital in several months.
