Nestle Is Selling Their Candy Business

(New York, NY) -- I admit I have a little bit of a sweet tooth so I thought I would pass this information along.  Nestle plans to sell its U.S. confectionery business to Italian chocolate giant Ferrero.

24/7 Metro Source News reports the Swiss food company says it expects to close the two-point-eight-billion-dollar deal around the end of the first quarter of 2018. The maker of famous candy bars, including BabyRuth, Butterfinger and Crunch, announced the sale as it shifts toward healthier products. Industry analysts say the deal will make Ferrero the third-largest chocolate company in the U.S.
