I continue to like what President Trump is doing to reign in regulations.
Today he is vowing to put American patients first in the battle to lower prescription drug prices. 24/7 News says, while speaking at the White House today, Trump said his administration is moving to reduce the influence of powerful special interests. He also noted that regulatory burdens are being reduced.
The President said his administration is banning so-called pharmacist gag rules, which prohibits pharmacists from telling consumers how to save money. He argued that the moves will promote more competition and lead to lower prices.
Meantime, U.S. Health Secretary Alex Azar called on pharmaceutical companies to reveal prices of drugs they advertise on TV. Azar is a former executive of pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly.
