There is a ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court that I really agree with. 24/7 News reports that the high court is telling many nonprofit groups they have to disclose the identity of wealthy donors who give money to pay for aggressive political ads.
Yesterday's ruling on so-called dark money donations comes just seven weeks before the midterm elections. It's expected to apply to explicitly political ads run by nonprofits between now and Election Day. The ads in question are those that tell people to vote for or against a candidate. To me it is a good thing that people will no longer be able to donate to those ads anonymously.
