We saw another example today of the mettle of the Greatest Generation. 95 year old former Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole is among those paying respects to the late President George H.W. Bush. Bush is lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda. 24/7 Metro Source News reports Dole was helped out of his wheelchair so he could stand and salute Bush's flag-draped casket. I hope you get a chance to see the video.
Dole and Bush were decorated World War Two veterans who tangled in the 1988 presidential campaign. Bush won the Republican nomination and went on to serve one term as President.
