24/7 Metro Source reports the University of Michigan's January reading on consumer attitudes fell sharply. Now the researchers say that is due to uncertainty over the partial government shutdown, the trade dispute with China and turmoil in financial markets as top concerns for many Americans.
I will tell you that it is a result of Democrats winning the House. The talk coming from that side of the aisle is spend, spend, spend and consumers are smart enough to know that this is going to eventually bite them in the wallet.
